We’re thrilled to welcome three outstanding interns to the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy this summer! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Kaitlyn Cimenian, Benjamin Johnson, and Mihini Gamamadagedon who will be supporting our mission to preserve and promote the history of pharmacy this summer.
Kaitlyn is a third-semester Capstone student in the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Pharmacy’s Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation program and is from New England. Kaitlyn is working with the George Bender Collection on a project that looks at the history of plant medicines and how they enter the U.S. pharmaceutical system. Benjamin is an undergraduate senior at the University of Wisconsin – Madison majoring in history and hails from Dodgeville, WI. He aspires to pursue a PhD program following his graduation from the university. Ben is working with the Eric Sterling Collection on a project that looks at drug policy. Mihini is an undergraduate student at the Unversity of Wisconsin – Madison School of Pharmacy majoring in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Mihini is our Social Media and Content Creation Intern and will be making social media content and videos for the Institute and helping us tell our story and stories about the history of pharmacy.
