AIHP Internship Program: Engaging Students in Pharmacy History - American Institute of the History of Pharmacy

AIHP’s internship program offers students a unique opportunity to explore the rich and diverse history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals. Open to undergraduate, graduate, and pharmacy students, internships are available year-round and can be completed remotely or in-person. Interns work closely with AIHP staff on meaningful projects that support the Institute’s mission to preserve and share pharmacy’s past.

Interns may:

Conduct historical and literature research on pharmacy-related topics.
Assist with digitization and archival projects, including cataloging and metadata entry.
Develop educational and outreach materials.
Participate in special initiatives like capital campaigns, exhibit design, or oral history interviews.
Help organize and index books in AIHP’s research library to improve accessibility.
Collaborate on ongoing programs that promote pharmacy history and public engagement.
