AIHP’s Archives

AIHP’s archives house a world‑leading collection of rare manuscripts, ephemera, correspondence, photographs, and other materials documenting the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals. The holdings provide extensive coverage of pharmacy in the United States from the late nineteenth century to the present. Open for on‑site research, the archives support scholars and the public by providing access to both physical and digital resources that illuminate how pharmacy has shaped science, health, and society.

Finding Aids

We currently offer access to a select number of finding aids, and we are steadily working to expand the resources available online. These guides provide helpful overviews of our archival collections, but they may not address every research need. If you have questions about materials not covered in the posted finding aids, please reach out to us directly—our staff is glad to provide additional information and research assistance.
