In 2021, AIHP and the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy have warmly welcomed two new graduate students into the life of the Institute.
Genevieve Lundberg, a first year Masters student in the UW-Madison iSchool, was hired by Lucas Richert as a Digital Archival Assistant. Through her work alongside Greg Bond and Kristen Huset to digitize and describe items from the historical collections, Genevieve is assisting in making the Kremers Reference Files more accessible to outside researchers. She noted that she was “very excited for the opportunity to work with such interesting historical materials.”
Patrick Walsh, as part of an independent research study, recently started exploring the Kremers Reference Files to advance his PhD project in the history of science. Patrick has also agreed to serve as an Editorial Assistant for the Institute’s flagship journal, History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals.
According to Professor Richert, “even though we’re all physically distanced, it’s brilliant to have new faces working on our historical materials and at the journal. The AIHP will be a better place for having Genevieve and Patrick around.”
